Beautiful location. Awful and intrusive owner on site Positive: Location. Negative: The owner on site was intrusive and inflexible. We hadn’t realised this would be the situation. We explained immediately that we were in an awful situation. On our way driving up to the property (5 hour drive) we received a family phone call, telling us that my elderly mother in law had collapsed unexpectedly. She subsequently passed away at hospital. Two of us (my husband and me) needed to turn around immediately and drive back to the Margate area of Kent to care for my elderly father in law. A huge drive. This didn’t register with her and she kept constantly hovering, repeating rules and demanding information about who was sleeping where. When I informed her that we had one of our party with a disability lovely daughter in law), she subsequently used the information against that person in a conversation when we were absent. The rest of our party consisted of young professionals in their 20s and 30s. Hardly rabble rousers. She constantly checked on them and show no flexibility about the extenuating circumstances when the rest of the party were having difficult with caring for a dog whilst at a local wedding (we had been due to care for it). Technically she was within her rights but I’ll never forgive that inhumanity. I also learnt that she was letting herself into the property when my two adult sons were alone in it and not doing anything untoward. It’s really not on. It’s a shame. It’s a beautiful location and a good property. But how can you enjoy any peace and solitude which you have paid for with an owner like this on site.

Positive: It was an absolute pleasure to say at this property, words can't describe the beautiful views. Freda was an exceptional host making me feel very welcome in her home. I couldn't recommend this property more, will return in the summer. Negative: Nothing

Beautiful thank you for hosting us. Positive: Location was beautiful and hosts very welcoming. Everything we needed was there Negative: The last stretch of road in was not ideal for small cars. Lots of rocks kicked up even when going very slowly and scraped against under side of car

Positive: It was amazing!!! Negative: Nothing

Great property in beautiful location but probably not best suited to owners of lively dogs. Positive: Beautiful location with amazing views, especially from top flat. Both flats well equipped. Negative: Correct postcode for farm on booking.com would have been useful! There are no pubs/shops within walking distance as suggested with their PC. Also dog owners please check pet restrictions carefully as dogs only allowed in one room and nowhere outside off leads. Correct PC is BB7 5DA.
