The Amalfi Suite at Moat House

Positive: Same comments as my previous review Negative: See above

Positive: Location great and size OK for one person as bed small double Negative: The room was really smelly - old takeaway boxes and body odour even after leaving windows open to air. The smell stayed overnight. I mentioned to the cleaner who was lovely and she gave me air freshener but it didn't help. The wardrobe / cupboard couldn't be used because it smelt of fish and damp - there was an air freshener in there so not a new problem. The room was clean but the smell was in the fabrics and in the headboard of the bed - which had a fabric covering.

Top quality venue Positive: Overall decor and finish was a very high standard - access was very easy too - obviously well thought out for the limited space they had available to work with. Negative: There was nothing I didn't like - just a couple of 'constructive' comments (not criticisms) - Milan suite could have done with a small shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. As there was no space for a bedside cabinet, maybe a small folding shelf on the wall by the bed and a nearer usb electric socket for phone and watch charging would be useful. The only other comment was squeaky floorboards.

A very pleasant stay in a lovely apartment. Positive: Excellent location in town centre. Very well appointed and maintained. Comfortable, clean and quiet.

I stay here every 2 months or so in order to visit an elderly relative. It is reliable and clean. The location is really convenient in the centre of Rawtenstall near buses, shops, cafes.
